MADURAI: A district level ‘Special Education Loan Camp 2022’ was conducted in Madurai on November 13th 2022 in the American College campus, led by Canara Bank which is the lead bank for Madurai district, in which public sector and private sector have participated and disbursed education loans to the needy students.

In this education loan camp, the loan approval letter from banks to the students was given given jointly by Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Dr.P.T.R.Palanivel Rajan and Registration Minister Mr.P.Moorthy in the presence of Madurai MP Mr.Su.Venkatesan and MLAs from Madurai district and Madurai District Collector Dr.S.Aneesh Sekhar.

Mr.D.Anil, Lead District Manager, has said that the special education loan camp held in Madurai on 13th November 2022 Sunday had helped in disbursing a total of Rs.17.48 crores of education laons to 273 students. The loan disbursal breakup shows the education loan given as: Canara Bank Rs.7.28 crores for 102 students, SBI Rs.2,61 crores for 86 students, Indian Bank Rs.1.51 crores for 30 students, IOB Rs.1.31 crores for 24 students, Union Bank Rs.1.80 crores for 21 students, TMB Rs.1.50 crores for seven students and Central Bank of India gave Rs.1.47 crores to three students.

Top officials from Madurai Corporation and Madurai district administration were present in this special education loan camp which was organized in Madurai in American College campus on 13th November 2022, a press release received in Madurai has informed.
